Vacancy for One Project Executive Officer
- Essential Qualification: PhD with 5 years experience OR M.E./M.Tech/M.B.A. with 8 years experience.
- Areas of Educational Qualification: Atmospheric Sciences, Climate Sciences, Environmental Engineering and Management, Environmental/Energy Policy, Instrumentation Engineering, Project Management with experience in areas of Air Quality and/or Sustainable Energy
- Required skills: Operational strategies; working knowledge of MS office suite; excellent content writing capability including compilation of reports, newsletters and social media posts; knowledge of GFR and government purchase procedures; ability to organise events/meetings/interviews (both online and offline); strong command in oral and written English and Hindi. Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills. Experience with coordination of large teams and good team player. Experience managing multi-institutional, interdisciplinary projects required.
- Salary: INR 50400-4200-126000 per month (Salary shall be commensurate with experience & skills)
- Nature of position: Temporary / Contractual
- Duration of appointment: 1 Year appointment with high probability for extension till the end of project. Renewal of appointment on annual basis.

About the group/team: The team has made impactful contribution at national level to address the challenges of Air Pollution and Climate Change. Under the leadership of Prof.S.N.Tripathi, the team has built ground-breaking innovative approaches for indigenously built low-cost sensor-based network technologies for nation-wide urban air quality monitoring and Real Time Source Apportionment (RTSA). Recently, the group has been awarded the International Centre of Excellence on advanced pollution monitoring technologies recognized by the Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India. This work will be carried out as a part of this Centre. The group is presently establishing large-scale Air Quality Monitoring (AQM) sensor network across Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. The group has also set-up a mobile AQM laboratory for Dynamic Hyper-local Source Apportionment studies across Lucknow and Kanpur.
