A distinguished delegation from IIT Kanpur, including Prof. Dhirendra S. Katti, Dean of International Relations; Prof. Ashish Garg, Head of the Department of Sustainable Energy Engineering; Prof. Raju Kumar Gupta, Department of Chemical Engineering; Prof. Lalit Pant, Department of Sustainable Energy Engineering; and Prof. Raghavendra Ragipani, Department of Chemical Engineering, visited the University of Alberta from March 25th to 27th, 2024. The delegation engaged in discussions to enhance collaboration between the institutions, particularly focusing on areas of mutual interest in the broad domain of energy.

During the visit, Prof. Katti presented mementos to Prof. Bill Flanagan, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Alberta; Dr. Aminah Robinson Fayek, Vice-President, Research and Innovation, Dr. Cen Huang, Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President (International), Dr. André McDonald, Associate Vice-President, Research and Innovation; and Dr. Amit Kumar, Deputy Director, Future Energy Systems. .

The IIT Kanpur delegation participated in an IITK-UoA joint Energy Transition Research Workshop, highlighting the importance of joint research efforts. The visit signifies the continued commitment to collaboration in research and education between IIT Kanpur and the University of Alberta.
