OSA STUDENT TRAVEL GRANTS

List of students selected for the OSA travel grants. Each student's actual travel costs including train fare, air fare and local transport fare will be reimbursed to a maximum of Rs. 5000.
Please retain and submit original receipts, tickets and boarding passes for the reimbursement when you come here.

Any student who has applied for the student travel grant and is not listed above should contact the organizers at [email protected] immediately with a copy to [email protected].


A limited number of grants (about 30) for the support of travel of students are available supported by the OSA (The Optical Society). These grants will be available to students pursuing their PhD programs or to students within one year of the submission of their PhD thesis. The student grants will be limited to reimbursement of travel expenses upto a maximum of Rs. 5000 per student and are projected to cover the travel of the students.

The students need to have registered after paying the registration fee, submitted a paper and have the paper accepted in the review process to be eligible for the student grant. The students will have to submit their original travel tickets and the boarding cards (if they travel by air) to get them reimbursed to a maximum of Rs. 5000.

While applying for the student grant, make sure to mention the transaction number for payment of the registration fee, the registration number alloted to you by the organizers and the paper number. The application will have to be recommended and forwarded by their PhD supervisors.

The last date for applying for the student grant will be 20 August 2018. Please send in the scanned file of the signed application form. The grant recepients will be informed of their selection by 05 September 2018.
