New Delhi, 25 November, 2024: The Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC) at IIT Kanpur, in collaboration with the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India; and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), is organizing the ASEAN-India Start-up Festival 2024. This prestigious event will take place from November 28 to 30, 2024, at Vivanta Taj, New Delhi, bringing together entrepreneurs and innovators from India and the 10 ASEAN countries to strengthen cross-border collaborations and promote innovation. The festival will spotlight deep-tech and sustainable innovations, featuring groundbreaking solutions from 60 Indian startups and 40 ASEAN startups. These innovations aim to address regional challenges and drive socio-economic growth by focusing on advanced technologies and sustainability. The event will host several eminent dignitaries, including Shri Jitendra Singh, Minister of Science and Technology, Government of India; Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Secretary of DST; Prof. Manindra Agrawal, Director of IIT Kanpur; Shri Srikant Sastri, Chairman of the Geospatial Data Promotion & Development Committee; ambassadors from ASEAN nations; and other esteemed senior government officials and industry leaders. Their presence underscores the significance of this collaborative initiative and its potential to drive economic growth and foster international partnerships. The three-day program will feature a range of activities, including seminars, startup exhibitions, pitch competitions, andnetworking sessions. These activities are designed to encourage B2B and G2G collaborations, furthering innovation-driven economic ties.
