The ACODS is a biennial conference held in India that brings together an international community of researchers and practitioners from academia, industry and research labs to disseminate new developments and advances in control and optimization of dynamical systems.  The theme of the conference is broad enough to encompass both theory and applications. Application areas include, but are not restricted to robotics, aerospace vehicles, power systems, manufacturing, process control, computer aided control, biomedical engineering, automation, and mechanical and electrical systems.  This conference will also cover many emerging applications such as cooperative robotics, power grids, sensor networks, networked robotics and many other multi-agent systems that will require advanced treatments in terms of control architecture, stability analysis, control strategies, communication and coordination.  Papers are invited in these and other areas where control and optimization of dynamical systems plays an important role. The conference will have several special sessions that will include biological systems and chaotic dynamical systems.

Location

ACODS 2014 will be held at IIT Kanpur. Kanpur is a historical city situated at the bank of river Ganges which was popularly known as Manchester of India during the British Rule. Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, one of the best premier technical institutes in India, is engaged in carrying out original research of significance and technology development at the cutting edge. It imparts training to students so that they become competent and motivated engineers and scientists. The Institute celebrates freedom of thought, cultivates vision and encourages growth, but also inculcates human values and concern for the environment and the society. IIT Kanpur Campus is known for her lush-green environment endowed with peace and tranquillity.
Many places of interests such as Taj Mahal (Agra), Khajuraho, Vanaras and Orchha are very close to the city of Kanpur. Even places such as Kulu, Manali, Dharmashala, Haridwar and Rishikesh are also easily reachable from Kanpur.

    IFAC-PapersOnline

The accepted papers will be uploaded to the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC) PapersOnLine database with appropriate indexing.

However, publication of paper is subject to IFAC Copyright Condition. The link to IFAC PoL and the copyright requirements is given here.

    IFAC Copyright Condition

“All publication material submitted for presentation at an IFAC-sponsored meeting (Congress, Symposium, Conference, Workshop) must be original and hence cannot be already published, nor can it be under review elsewhere. The authors take responsibility for the material that has been submitted. IFAC-sponsored conferences will abide by the highest standard of ethical behavior in the review process as explained on the Elsevier webpage (http://www.elsevier.com/journal-authors/author-rights-and-responsibilities), but see also the Vancouver protocol, and author information (http://labs.elsevier.com/blog/what-makes-an-author-authorship-contributorship-and-micro-attribution) and the authors will abide by the IFAC publication ethics guidelines (http://www.ifac-control.org/events/organizers-guide/PublicationEthicsGuidelines.pdf/view).

Accepted papers that have been presented at an IFAC meeting, will be published in the proceedings of the event using the open-access IFAC-PapersOnLine (http://www.ifac-papersonline.net/ ). To this end, the author(s) must confer the copyright to IFAC when they submit the final version of the paper through the paper submission process. See also http://www.ifac-papersonline.net/static/copyright.html for the personal permission rights to reproduce the published paper on a personal or institutional www-site.

The IPC of the IFAC event may screen presented papers with the purpose of recommending the authors to consider a derivative publication of the presented paper in one of the IFAC Journals (at present: Automatica, Control Engineering Practice, Annual Reviews in Control, Journal of Process Control , Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, and Mechatronics). The IFAC Journals have priority access to all contributions presented at IFAC events. However, if the author(s) is (are) not contacted, within three months after the meeting, the author(s) is (are) free to submit an appropriately modified version of the presented material for journal publication as considered appropriate by the author(s). In this case, the journal outlet may be freely chosen by the author(s).”
